 Formed by Shane Trayers in 2009, the Macon Writers Group is a network, outlet, and resource for writers in the central Georgia area. At our monthly critique-group meetings, we discuss work of all styles and genres and issues ranging from sentence structure to publication. We also host events throughout the year, from forums with authors and publishing professionals to community programs such as our Young Writers Event. Former and current members of our group include screenwriters, playwrights, poets, memoirists, and novelists across many genres, many of whom have contributed to published anthologies of our work. We encourage each of our members to write often and well, and to be the best writer they can be.
